realy nice movie. For most Germans, it is no problem to understand Dutch. For me, Dutch is easier to understand than the people of Bavaria 
I would also still happy about some zoomed pictures. A few minutes with the camera at the entrance hole would interest me too.

It is a P generation, but I have to admit that this bees aren't 'pure' black: the grandmother of this queen was fecondated just somewhere in the Ardennes, but not in the protected zone of Chimay. However, their appearance is pretty black

Ole, it was the great grandmother of that queen which was fecondated outside the protected zone of Chimay, my mistake. You can find some information about her grandmother (like the line) at the next page: http://pedigree.mellifica.be/queen/305 (only available in French).

thanks for the link. If I understood correctly, the mother is an ASBL Mellifica of the beekeepers Benoit Dupred from the year 2010. Does anyone know what ASBL means?

Wenn ich das richtig sehe, handelt es sich bei der Mutter (N1012-BD) um eine ASBL Mellifica von dem Bienenzüchter Benoit Dupred aus dem Jahre 2010. Weiß irgendjemand wo für ASBL steht?

ASBL is French for "Vereinigung ohne Gewinnerzielungsabsicht", Mellifica is the name of the association. You're correct, the queen herself is called N-1012-BD: born in 2010 and bred by Benoît Dupret.

thanks for the answer. I did not know that Belgium has such unmixed and beautiful mellifera bees. Very interesting also in view of the re-distribution in Germany.
