Was lockt einen Bienenschwarm an? Schwarm zugeflogen

    HAllo allerseits,

    auch dieses JAhr erfreue ich mich an meinen Schwarmgeschichten. Insbesondere die Sicula lässt mich da nicht im Stich. Auch wenn es "nur" Nachschwärme sind.

    Servus Kai,
    Wie sind die denn in die Beute reingekommen? Ich hoffe du lässt keine Kisten geöffnet rumstehen. So etwas ist bei uns in Ö ein absolutes NO-GO! Das Problem wäre nicht der Schwarm der da eingezogen ist. Es könnte unnötiger Weise ein komletter Flugradius (Nachbarimker) gefährdet werden. Da könnte man doch gleich Honigwaben im Freien ausschlecken lassen... und das ist sicher auch in DE verboten. AFB lässt grüßen!

    NA, da stelle ich doch mal die Gegenfrage:

    Welcher FAulbrutherd wäre denn gefährlicher? Ein krankes Bienenvolk, das beräubert wird? Oder ein leerstehender KAsten? Antwort: doch wohl ersteres!

    Anders herum gesagt: hätte ich FAulbrut am Stand, dann hätte ich ganz andere Probleme als die Frage, ob meine Kästen nun leer oder besetzt sind. 8)

    Ich gabe auch ein paar leere Häusle auggestellt.
    Nun habe ich Waldnwespen und Hornissen in doppelter Ausführung.
    Bienenschwärme sind wohl unterwegs nach Mielkendorf.

    Schwarmfangbeute, wie sich sowas nennt, ist in D nur legal wenn es eine neue Beute ist (Da der Gesetzestext eindeutig sagt; Nicht mehr besetz) D.h. MW + neue Rähmchen + neue Beute sollten unkritisch sein).
    Ob etwas wie der Melifera es vorschlägt, mit einer Altwabe hinter eingmaschigem Draht legal ist, da Binendicht, aber wenn Wachsmotten drinnen sind, und KRümmel zu Boden fallen doch vll. erreichbar, liegt im Entscheidungsbereich des Veterinärs, aber wahrscheinlich eher nicht.

    der Vollständigkeit halber möchte ich nochmals darauf hinweisen, dass das Offenstehenlassen von ehemals durch Bienen besetzten Beuten verboten ist.

    Beim Jupp 🙂entschuldigung falls seine Videos bei manchen nicht beliebt sind🙂 habe ich gesehen dass er Schwärme mit dem Geruch von Wachsmottenkot anlockt, angeblich erfolgreich ist seit vielen Jahren.

    Er sammelt solche Wachsmottennester auf seinen Varroaschiebern ein, tut sie in ein Glas mit durchloecherten Schraubdeckeln und fügt noch etwas Nahrung wie alte Wabenreste hinzu damit sich die Viecher gut entwickeln, danach absterben und ihre Verdauungsreste über bleiben. Mit diesem Geruchstoff also.

    Er hängt dann eine "diffusionsoffener" Deckel ( für den Geruch) Dose unter eine holzplatte die auf einen Pfahl geschraubt wurde so dass sich ein Schwarm darunter hängen kann.

    Natürlich bewerte ich das nicht, ausprobieren werde ich es wahrscheinlich auch nicht, 😄 aber falls das funktionieren sollte - der Jupp schwört darauf - dann würde dadurch der Paragraph 6 der Seuchenverordnung (die ich natürlich auch nicht bewerte) sehr geschickt umgangen.

    Letztlich - wenn es in Deutschland schon keinen Urwald mehr gibt - wo kämen wir hin wenn uns auch noch der Paragraphenwald verloren ginge.

    Tatsächlich gibt es für jede Regel auch Ausnahmen🌞

    Natürlich werden Bienenschwärme von offenen, bereits besiedelt gewesenen Beuten angezogen. Insbesondere der warme Duft von Kittharz und Altwaben, die bienenoptimale Raumgröße und das optimale Flugloch von 14 Quadratzentimetern üben eine magische Anziehungskraft auf Schwärme aus, was ich des Öfteren schon in meinen Videos belegen konnte:

    Ja, das ist leider so, es gibt aber auch Unfälle, wo ein Spalt frei ist und Bienen liebend gern in komfortable Styroporbeuten ganz freiwillig einziehen, zum Beispiel wie hier gestern Abend:
